In 2016, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. My kidneys were failing, and I was told that I would need a transplant to survive. I was placed on the waiting list, and I waited for a year and a half for a kidney to become available.

Finally, in 2018, I received the call that I had been waiting for. A kidney had become available, and I was scheduled for surgery the next day. I was so excited and hopeful. I thought that my life was finally going to get back to normal.

The surgery was a success, and I was discharged from the hospital a few days later. I felt great. I had so much energy, and I was able to do all the things that I had been missing out on for the past year and a half.

But my happiness was short-lived. A few weeks after the surgery, I started to feel sick. I had a fever, chills, and body aches. I went to the doctor, and I was told that I had an infection. I was put on antibiotics, but the infection didn't go away.

I was admitted to the hospital, and I underwent a series of tests. The doctors finally determined that my body was rejecting the kidney. I was devastated. I had come so close to getting my life back, but it was all being taken away from me.

I was put on dialysis, and I started the process of waiting for another kidney transplant. But this time, I knew that the chances of success were much lower. I had already been rejected once, and my body was now even more likely to reject another kidney.

I waited for another year, but no kidney became available. My health continued to decline, and I was eventually placed on hospice care. I was given six months to live.

I spent my last months surrounded by my family and friends. I told them how much I loved them, and I thanked them for all of their support. I also wrote a book about my experience, which I hope will help others who are going through similar challenges.

I died peacefully in my sleep on March 10, 2020. I was 35 years old.

My story is a tragedy, but it is also a story of hope. I never gave up hope, even when I knew that my chances of survival were slim. I always believed that a miracle would happen, and that I would eventually get my life back.

Even though my life was cut short, I am grateful for the time that I had. I was able to experience love, laughter, and joy. I was able to make a difference in the lives of others. And I was able to leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire others long after I am gone.
